Colombian crafts have been made for centuries with techniques being passed from generation to generation, always using renewable materials and taking care of our rich environment.

THE TABLE LOVE pays tribute to Colombian crafts, each piece is 100% handcrafted and in each item there is a deep tradition that has been preserved over time. Our pieces are a tribute to the artisans who create them and to the natural wealth of Colombia. Each piece is truly unique.

There are multiple techniques used in weaving Iraca Palm. The coil technique takes the palm stalk and bundles about 6-7 pieces per row. The Iraca Palm is then wrapped around them creating various colours and patterns. As the palm is wrapped around the leaf stalk the artisan begins to coil or create a circle with the material. To join the various layers together they use a needle, and with the same palm “sew” they put a stitch every few inches to hold the layers together. There is also a wire frame technique by which the artisans weave the Iraca Palm around the wire creating intricate lace-like patterns .
