Not Just for Breakfast!

Bold, reversible and wonderfully cosy, these placemats are our own playful take on a quilted classic. We especially love them for winter gatherings, mountain homes and bringing a little rustic cabin charm to everyday life. Dress them up for a more refined table or keep things relaxed—their character shines through either way.

Each placemat is a labour of love. Two contrasting tartan fabrics are layered together, quilted vertically by hand and framed with a colourful border made from one of the fabrics. With a different design on each side, you have two looks to play with.

Made in small batches at a boutique artisan workshop we have worked with for years, these pieces are designed to mix and match. Pair them with our Squiggle or Scallop Napkins for a table full of colour and personality. Need help choosing? Ask us—we’re happy to suggest combinations and send photos.

Our fabrics and colours continually change, making each batch a little different. If you prefer a matching set, we recommend purchasing all the placemats you need at the same time.

Made from sustainably sourced cotton, working directly with our makers, without middlemen. The workshop runs entirely on solar power, and all leftover foam is repurposed as filling for mattresses donated to people without a bed.
