Handmade in Brazil, our Marguerite Rattan Placemat is beautifully woven in rattan with a playful looped edge inspired by the petals of a flower.
Exceptionally sturdy and beautifully made, these have a substantial structure that sets them apart from many of the softer, floppier rattan placemats you often find. They sit beautifully flat on the table and feel made to be used and enjoyed for years.
We especially love them layered over patterned tablecloths. The natural texture creates a visual pause between a busy print and your porcelain or ceramic plates, breaking up the pattern while adding warmth, texture and depth to the table.
As each piece is handmade, subtle variations are part of its individual character.
