This exquisite Suzani features a burgundy, gently distressed base, intricately hand-embroidered in wool with a unique floral vine motif in grem, blue, pink, and chestnut — all framed by a delicate floral border. Measuring 155 × 220 cm, it brings warmth and charm to any space through the autumn and winter seasons — beautiful as a tablecloth, a throw over a sofa or armchair, or even as a statement wall hanging. One imaginative client even turned hers into a headboard.

Originating from the nomadic tribes of Central Asia — particularly Uzbekistan and Tajikistan — Suzanis were traditionally hand-stitched by brides as part of their dowry, symbolising luck, health, and fertility. This contemporary interpretation is lovingly crafted by skilled artisans in Rajasthan, using wool thread embroidery on vintage cotton cloths.

 The slightly distressed base cloth and softly frayed edges are intentional — enhancing the textile’s rustic, time-worn beauty and celebrating its handcrafted soul.

The threads sometimes have knots in them here and there. It’s where the artisan joins the yarns when they need to mid-pattern. It’s intentional and has passed our quality control, remembering it’s all hand made. Perfect imperfection.
